About a month ago he told me that he had to attend a mandatory meeting that all Freshman HAD to attend. It was in a lecture hall and he was not allowed to miss it. The speaker who did the lecture was a transvestite who was a man and he now felt the need to dress as a woman. All freshmen were forced to hear his/her story about how this came to be. They were not allowed to miss this lecture and from what I am told it would affect their grade.
My heart sank as we walked over to this lecture hall. I was very happy that I did not have to attend. As I sat and waited for well over an hour for it to be over, I started praying some radical prayers. "Hey God, please let this individual lose his voice. Please let the sound system go bonkers. Let the power go out!" I realize those prayers are not very nice but I was not very happy all these freshmen had to hear this garbage. It made me think of something real cool. Wouldn’t it be great if everyone in the freshman class had to listen to Franklin Graham or Frances Chan? They would have to hear the gospel and have no choice whatsoever. They would have to hear about the life changing message of salvation and about how much God loves them.
I realize in today’s day and age that lectures such as this transvestite is more common than not. I have heard that local libraries are allowing Drag Queens to read stories to children. I heard it said recently that since they cannot reproduce, they will do everything possible to recruit. I think it saddens me that many Christians will not take action or be a voice. We just sit back and expect others to handle it. I will just say boldly that I am appalled at what is happening in our world. God did not create man and decide "Oh wait, I made a mistake. You were supposed to be a woman. My bad!!’ He didn’t create Adam so that he could be Andrea or Eve so she could become Eddie! He created man. He created woman. End of story!
I just want to encourage Christians everywhere to be a voice and to take a stand. We can’t allow lectures like this at local universities or Drag Queens in the libraries to continue. One of my goals in 2020 is to develop a library program on bullying. I am not planning on making it preachy, but I do want to be a "light in the darkness." Come on everyone! Let’s take a stand for the truth!
UNTIL NEXT WEEK!! HAPPY CHRISTMAS SHOPPING!!
